Most of what Pyroflux India makes started as somebody’s problem: a gasket top coat that built up on the roller, a glass mould that needed respraying every few hours, a dummy block that had to be sooted, a galvanizing jig that molten zinc kept attacking. Our metallurgical and chemical engineers in Noida formulate release, anti-stick, barrier and refractory coatings to the process in front of them rather than selling the nearest catalogue item: the substrate, the temperature, the atmosphere, the application method and the equipment the customer already has all go into the formulation. The main pigments are the ones you would expect — hexagonal boron nitride, graphite, zircon, alumina, alumina-silicate — in water-based or solvent-based systems, as sprays, suspensions, pastes, sticks or aerosols. From Enquiry To a Product On Your Line
- Brief. You send the substrate, process temperature, atmosphere, how you apply today, what equipment you have, and what is going wrong. A photo of the problem helps more than a long description.
- First formulation. We formulate on our bench against those conditions and send a trial quantity with an application procedure, usually within a few weeks.
- Line trial. You run it on your line; we adjust dilution, solids or carrier from what the line shows. One or two iterations is typical.
- Lock and document. The formulation is locked, the technical data sheet and GHS safety data sheet are issued, and PPAP or customer-specific documentation is prepared where the supply chain needs it.
- Supply. From Noida, in packs from 1 kg to 200 kg, in India and overseas, under our name or yours.

A water-based graphite top coat formulated so it transfers evenly and does not build up on a sand-blasted rubber roll.

Is there a development charge?
Usually not for a first formulation against a clear brief; trial quantities are quoted at product price. Long or exploratory developments are agreed case by case.
Will you disclose the formulation?
No. We supply the technical data sheet, the safety data sheet and the application procedure, and we name the main pigment (boron nitride, graphite, zircon and so on). The formulation itself stays with us, as it does with any formulator.
Can you make it under our brand?
Yes. Private-label supply with your name on the container and the data sheet is available for ongoing volumes.
How quickly can we get a trial?
A first trial quantity typically ships within a few weeks of a complete brief; standard products ship from stock.
Do you do anti-rust or marine coatings?
No. We stay with release, anti-stick, barrier, lubricating and refractory coatings for hot processes, where our engineers’ experience is.
